Campsite Transfer is a listing and communication platform that connects people who can no longer use a campground reservation with people who want it. We are not a party to any transaction. We do not own, hold, sell, or transfer reservations; we do not process, hold, or guarantee payments between buyers and sellers; and we do not complete transfers. All reservation transfers are completed directly between the buyer and seller through the official Ontario Parks reservation system. Campsite Transfer is not affiliated with Ontario Parks.

Any payment or exchange of funds between a buyer and a seller happens outside of Campsite Transfer, at the buyer's and seller's own risk. We strongly recommend that buyers:

• confirm the reservation details (park, site, dates, cost) directly with the seller before paying anything;
• review the seller's linked Facebook profile to confirm they are dealing with a real, established person — brand-new or empty profiles are a common sign of scammers;
• wait for the official transfer confirmation from the Ontario Parks reservation system before treating a transfer as complete;
• keep all communication in Campsite Transfer messaging.

Campsite Transfer cannot recover funds sent to another user and is not responsible for any loss arising from a transaction, including fraud, misrepresentation, cancellation, or failure to complete a transfer.

To help protect the community, Campsite Transfer uses automated (AI) screening, including:

• Reservation verification. A "Verified" badge means the listing details matched a reservation confirmation document supplied by the seller at the time of posting. It does not confirm the reservation is still valid, that the seller still controls it, or that a transfer will complete.
• Duplicate monitoring. New listings and edits to existing listings are checked against live listings for reuse of the same reservation number or the same park and site with overlapping dates. Duplicates are blocked and flagged for review.
• Photo review. Listing photos are automatically reviewed before they are published.

These systems reduce risk but are not perfect and can miss fraudulent activity or produce errors. They do not replace your own judgment, and we make no warranty that any listing, seller, or buyer is legitimate.

Listings may not be posted or sold above the original tax-included reservation cost. Bidding and profit-based resale are not permitted. Applicable transfer fees charged by the reservation system are separate and may be paid as agreed between buyer and seller. See the Face Value Policy.

When you use Campsite Transfer, you agree that you will:

• provide accurate account and listing information;
• only list reservations you personally hold and control, and list each reservation once;
• link a genuine Facebook profile that belongs to you when posting a listing;
• promptly mark your listing as transferred or remove it when it is no longer available;
• not repost, copy, or claim another person's reservation or listing, and not edit a listing to represent a different reservation than the one it was verified against;
• not use the platform to collect payment for a reservation you do not control, or engage in any other fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful conduct.

We may remove any listing, suspend or terminate any account, block posting attempts, and report suspected fraud to relevant authorities at our discretion and without notice. Flagged activity (for example, duplicate listing attempts) is logged and reviewed.

Campsite Transfer is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or availability. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, that users are who they claim to be, or that any transfer will complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campsite Transfer and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the platform or any transaction between users, including lost money, lost reservations, travel costs, or fraud committed by other users. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us to use the platform in the past 12 months or CAD $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Campsite Transfer and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your listings, your transactions with other users, or your breach of these terms.

The platform is currently free to use during our launch; we may introduce pricing or change features later. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
